Westchester Community College – Student Center

Westchester Community College – Student Center

The Westchester Community College Student Center project was a three phase project which consisted of the renovation of an existing 50 year old building as well as a new addition with a connecting bridge. This project included structural, mechanical and architectural elements that require close coordination in order to mesh these elements together to provide the Owner with their desired product. This project was challenging in that the existing stone exterior was designed to remain and the new stonework metal panels and curtain wall systems had to marry seamlessly with the existing building. Compounding the coordination of these elements was the requirement that the building had to be occupied at all times and all services must remain intact and operational.
