New Construction of a 98,000 SF Con Edison’s Service Center located at the FDR Drive and E. 16th Street in New York City, houses the company’s 24 hour emergency call center and data operations center. Extremely tight worksite bounded by FDR highway and power plant. Construction of the curving glass and masonry structure involved significant underground incoming utility installation and coordination work as well as intensive amounts of internal data cabling, distribution wiring and cable tray systems, data patch panel and switching rooms, fiber optic backbone systems, and power redundancy in the form of duplicate wiring systems and full building generators to allow the facility to operate independently for undefined durations of time.
